Purpose of the Organization

• To promote an interest in art in the Oswego Lake area and surrounding community.

• To acquaint the public with the work of local artists and to participate actively in the cultural life of the community.

• To maintain art and artists on a high esthetic level.

• To provide sales opportunities for member artists.

Membership

Lake Area Artists has 40 active members. Once a year (November),

LAA members can choose to sponsor a prospective new member

if one of the 40 existing members has resigned from the organization.

Activities

Members meet the fourth Thursday of the month at the

Realty Trust Building in Lake Oswego.

Annual Exhibition and Sale

Held at the Lakewood Center for the Arts

368 South Street, Lake Oswego, Oregon,

the last weekend in April every year
